TourGo Launches Full Range of UIPM-Compliant Obstacles – Powering the Future of Modern Pentathlon

Modular obstacle systems now available for global training facilities and competition venues ahead of LA 2028

TOURGO – a leading manufacturer of professional sports and event equipment, is proud to announce the official release of its full series of UIPM (Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne) standard obstacles. Designed to meet the latest technical specifications of the international governing body, these products mark a significant step forward in supporting the rapidly growing sport of obstacle racing worldwide.

Obstacle Racing: A New Era for Modern Pentathlon

Obstacle racing was officially approved by the 72nd UIPM Congress in November 2022 as the replacement for equestrian in Modern Pentathlon. Following its debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the discipline has been hailed as a catalyst for bringing Modern Pentathlon into a new era – making the sport more exciting, accessible, and globally inclusive.

In October 2025, the first UIPM Obstacle World Championships were successfully held at the National Olympic Sports Center in Beijing. The event crowned Luke Beckstrand (USA) as double champion in both the 100m and 400m events, Katarzyna Jonaczyk (POL) as women’s 100m champion, and Italy as the 3km team relay gold medalist. This historic championship not only showcased elite athleticism but also set a new benchmark for professional obstacle course equipment.

Core Advantages: Professional, Safe, Flexible

Strict UIPM Compliance
All obstacles are manufactured to UIPM Official Technical Manual specifications, suitable for Category A/B/C events. Key structural components use 6082 aluminum alloy truss (30cm × 30cm, 2mm wall thickness) with TUV certification, ensuring competition-grade stability and safety.

Modular & Fast Deployment
Modular design reduces installation time by up to 40% compared to traditional fixed structures. The lightweight aluminum construction offers 20% weight savings over steel alternatives, significantly lowering transport costs and on-site assembly complexity.

Customizable Configurations
Tourgo supports custom obstacle combinations, color options (including brand logo printing), and modular expansions – accommodating everything from school physical education classes to international championships.

Built to Last
Constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum and metal materials, all products are suitable for long-term outdoor use. The Pro model features enhanced corrosion protection for coastal or high-humidity environments.

Industry Background: UIPM and World Obstacle Integration

During the inaugural World Championships, the UIPM Obstacle Working Group announced significant governance developments. The 2026 Obstacle World Championships in Limerick, Ireland, will be the final event supervised by World Obstacle (FISO). FISO is expected to formally dissolve following a congress vote in early 2026, with obstacle racing fully integrated into the UIPM single governance structure.

UIPM President Rob Stull commented: “The success of the first Obstacle World Championships is truly exciting. China set a very high standard for us, and I look forward to an even bigger and better championship in 2026. The future of obstacle racing is very bright, with many exciting things to look forward to starting with the LA 2028 Olympic Games.”

Looking Ahead

As a one-stop manufacturer of professional sports and event equipment, Tourgo remains committed to innovation, quality, and safety. With the full rollout of its UIPM obstacle series, Tourgo is ready to support athletes, coaches, and event organizers in building world-class obstacle courses – from local training facilities to the Olympic stage.
